It is free to join the library. Library membership entitles you to borrow library items such as books, DVDs and download audio books and e books. Your membership will also allow you to request items, renew items and to access the Internet free of charge using the People's Network computers in the library.

Children's activities in Crewkerne Library:
We are very pleased to welcome children into the library. We have a weekly Toddler Time session every Monday morning from 10.30with songs,rhymes and simple stories for young children. We run a Baby Boogie session weekly on a Tuesday morning from 10.30 for the under one's. There is no need to book for these activities you can just turn up. We also do occasional special storytimes for older children on Saturday mornings.We have books and online reference resources to help children with their homework. During the summer holidays we run a very successful Summer Reading Scheme for school age children, there is a certificate and medal for those who complete the challenge.Library Library Library

Computers in the library

The library has computer facilities available. This offers you free access to the internet, web based e-mail and Microsoft Office applications, including word processing and spreadsheets. You can also get free access to a range of online reference sources to which the library subscribes. These include Ancestry, Britannica Online, Oxford English Dictionary, Who's Who and many more. Please note that Ancestry can only be accessed in your local library.
